Help Us Help – Together We Can Make a Difference

Vancouver, British Columbia — September 9th, 2011 — Benefit for the drought in East Africa.

The humanitarian crisis in East Africa is affecting over 11 million people. Too weak to travel, sick children are being left behind as mothers search for food and water. Help us help them. Together we can make a difference!

With the help of volunteers in the community and three bands who are donating their time, a benefit is being held in support of the CANADIAN RED CROSS in their efforts to provide food, water and medical assistance through their Horn of Africa Drought Relief Fund.

This event will be held at The Yale Hotel, 1300 Granville Street, from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm and is open to the community. The music will start at 6:00 pm and is being supplied by:

The cover charge is $10 and will be donated. Everyone has a chance to win one of the many door prizes and the 50/50 draw. The Red Cross will provide tax receipts for donations over $20. All monies received will be donated to the Red Cross specifically for this cause and will be matched by our government.
